Immediate Medical Emergency

Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department if you or someone else requires immediate medical assistance.

Possible emergency symptoms may include:

  • Severe difficulty breathing
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Persistent severe chest pain
  • Sudden confusion
  • Severe injury
  • Immediate danger to yourself or another person

Suicide Crisis Support

If you or someone you know is thinking about suicide, call or text 9-8-8.

Canada's 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline provides support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

If there is immediate danger, call 911.

Non-Emergency Health Advice in Ontario

For non-emergency health advice or help finding health services, Ontario residents can call 811 through Health811, which provides free health advice and access to health-service information. Health811 does not replace emergency services.
